Awakening_175x100Several years ago, Bryan and I did the weight loss and exercise plan “Body for Life”. One of the main themes throughout the book was to plan your meals, exercise and snacks. There is a proverb that says, “He who fails to plan, plans to fail.”

Last year, I found with the Daniel Fast there was a lot of meal preparation involved. I have figured out how to cook many of the meals one day a week and do some of the preparation ahead of time for others. How much easier would it be if you came home from work and dinner was already cooked?

Having snacks on hand will help when you are ravenous and think you will starve before you get dinner on the table. Maybe it’s your family who will starve, but keeping healthy snacks handy will help you and your family.

Starting tomorrow, I will walk you through my menu, shopping list and snacks for 21 days of the Daniel Fast. Please leave comments if you have questions or send me an email.

Today, I have been catching up on blogs and being lazy. The last few days I haven’t felt my best, but still trying to remain productive.

Yesterday, I ordered Christmas cards from Snapfish. What excited me is their cards are much less expensive than others I have seen and you can order them on premium stationery. To save money this year, I am culling my list.

Bought a couple of Christmas gifts and saved quite a bit by using Coupon cabin. This site is free! Love free!

My decorations will go up on Wednesday since we are not going to be at my house for Thanksgiving. I will be off all day. Can’t wait to put them up!

This year I am responsible for the turkey at Thanksgiving. Over the past few years Abbye, my sister in law, has made an amazing bird. I spoke with her about the specifics and will give it a whirl. For those of you who haven’t bought your Thanksgiving trimmings you may want to check out Food Lions circular. I saved a ton.
