We are postponing Valentine’s Day to celebrate it another day due to 2 nerve root injections I received yesterday. Indulge me as I write this to him the best valentine ever:
Dear Funny Valentine,
You are the most wonderful person in my life, and I don’t know what I would do without me. I don’t know how I tricked you into marrying me, but I’m glad it worked.
I love spending time with you and can’t stand being away from you. Even when you are in your office just one door away, if I go very long without seeing you, I miss you. When I’m with you I feel like a teenager again.
After 14 years of marriage you still call me everyday on your way home to see if I need anything. You have been wonderful through the physical limitations I have experienced and have never once complained. Your compassion for me and others is pure and honest.
We’ve been through the good, the bad and the ugly together and have loved each other through it all. I am excited about what is ahead and run ahead with you.
Your Funny Valentine

Noah and Adam helped me pick out a couple of new games and we are trying them out. We own the standards : monopoly, sorry, life, risk, etc, but we needed some new games that don’t take 5 hrs to play. Trivial Pursuit was a hot comodity when I was a kid and the boys both thought the family edition would be fun, In a Pickle made it’s way into our cart, and Blokus intrigued me because Brandi Wilson raved about it on Twitter.
Last week we played Trivial Pursuit the family edition and enjoyed the game. I would defininitely play the short version as this still took us over an hour. My favorite part of this game was every one could play because there are two sets of question cards, one for adults and another for kids.
Last night we played another game, In a pickle. The jist of the game is each player gets 5 cards and there are 4 cards already laid down. One of the cards laid down might be the word “eye” you have to choose a card in your hand that an “eye” will fit into like “world”. It might seem cut and dry, but if there is a question everyone votes and if there is a tie the challenged player gets to keep their card down. You might just have to check this one out for yourself. I am not sure we will play this game again with the kids. Maybe we should have started this game a little earlier…
Will let you know how Blokus turns out. Brandi won, so I will have to keep it going for the girls!
