I cannot believe my oldest son turned 13 on Thursday. I don’t feel old enough to be the parent of a 13 yr. old. At times I am sure I act like I am 13.
Gabriel and I started planning this big party some time ago. He wanted a mystery party, so I set out to find something he would like. We played our own version of the popular game Clue. I was the maid and served dinner with the help of Nana. Bryan was the butler and greeted everyone at the door.
Gabriel’s friends who attended received alternate names to play the game. They were the relatives of the suspects trying to figure out who performed the murder in what room and with which weapon. Some of the names I came up with were Barry White, Jack White, Goldie Mustard, Concord Plum, etc. I made nametags for them and then grouped together by their new last name.
Up and down the stairs we went from room to room. The first time we played one of the teams made a really good guess and got it right. They all asked to play again, so of course we did.
Gabriel has awesome friends! Their parents should be proud.
