Picnik

This friend of mine has turned me on to a new way to edit pictures. If you are a photoshop guru then you probably won’t like this site. If you are novice, then you will love picnik.

The best part is it’s free! You can upload 5 pics at a time for free or you can pay an annual fee for $24.95. I don’t work for picnik nor do I receive any perks for this post. I like to share programs, sites or information to help others.

The Sun Came Out

Thursday I visited a new doctor and my original appointment was January 13, 2009. When I called the appointment secretary in September, she told me I could call everyday to see if there was a cancellation. I began calling almost everyday, and on my way to Catalyst they had a cancellation for November 20th. Monday I called again and was so suprised they had a cancellation.

The voice on the other end of the phone said “Yes, we have a cancellation. Your persistents has paid off.” This helped me learn a very valuable lesson. I could have sat back and just gone to the original appointment, but I was persisitent. I did something about my problem. God doesn’t make phone calls for me, but he does guide me where to go and what to do.

The appointment went well. I was pleased with the new doctor and his new treatment plan. I am so thankful for the circumstances that led me to him.

The sun didn’t come out because the appointment went well, but because God is still enough.

How many shoes?

When I look in my closet and see how many pairs of shoes I have, it seems unfathomable that someone would have none. What if my children’s shoes were worn out and their feet were cold in the winter or they had to walk barefoot every day? How would I feel? It makes my heart ache to know there are people around the world who walk in unsafe environments without shoes.

Soles4Souls is a charity in Nashville, Tennessee they have one mission: to get shoes to people who need them. Over 300 million people in the world walk in unsafe conditions and have no shoes.  What can we do to help?
