Last week was definitely not boring:

  • Adam, our youngest turned 8 yrs old. I can’t believe it has been 8 yrs.
  • ROCK Church staff had two days of planning for next year-my brain hurt.
  • Our Nana almost took a ride in an ambulance.
  • I had a migraine that lasted almost 2 days. Ugh! I hate those things.
  • One of my Kid’s ROCK kids and daughter to my good friends, Helen and Johnny, broke her arm. Again!
  • I had an extra boy at my house Friday night and Saturday. He is a great young man, but I had complete testerone overload with 4 boys. Of course Bryan took Saturday morning to study. LOL
  • I can’t believe I can feel my fingers or toes after watching the boys play football yesterday in the cold and rain. Adam’s team won and Noah’s team lost.
  • Gabriel and I watched Sabrina with Julia Ormond and Harrison Ford today. Noah said it was a chick flick and Gabriel said, “Uncle Matthew watches chick flicks.”
  • On the way to Adam’s party today, Gabriel hurled on the side of my car. It was quite gross. He was fine afterwards so of course we went on to the party.
  • Adam had his birthday party at the skating rink this afternoon.
  • Adam said one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. He asked me if natural gas came from humans. It was hilarious because he was sincere not kidding!

Last week was a good one with many unforgettable moments.

Wow! I can’t believe my youngest turned 8 yrs old today. He is the sweetest 8 yr old I know. He gets to celebrate all week because he had football tonight so we couldn’t do our traditional family dinner.

Here are his festivities:

  • Waffles for dinner tonight with his brothers, Bryan and me.
  • Longhorn steakhouse tomorrow night  with family
  • Sunday afternoon skating party with family and friends

It gets confusing as when to give him his gifts. Today he opened a cool hoodie from Papa and Nana, Bryan’s parents.  He opened his gift from my parents while on the phone with my Mom. It was so cool to hear his excitement while she was listening. It was a Wii game he wanted.

When do you give your kids their birthday gifts?
