Yesterday, I was working on a Word document. It was so easy to change things around. I could copy what I wanted and paste it. There a days when I wish I could copy and paste my life like a Word document. It would be easier to copy certain portions and move them to another place further down the time-line.
Change isn’t as easy as copy and paste because God works things through us in the process of change. I can’t control all the things changing around me, but I can control my thoughts and attitudes. In Club ROCK, we have been studying the life of Paul and learned this week to have a good attitude no matter. He had tons of change in his life. He was falsely imprisoned and had a good attitude.
Do you have a good attitude towards change and life?

Reaching children with excitement is important. I want my child to come home talking about how much fun he had at church. Choosing curriculum that teaches our children foundational principles with the activities that are fun and stimulating,
has not been an easy task in all the levels. Sometimes I could find a curriculum that was fun, stimulating, and taught Biblical principles, but too time consuming for teachers and volunteers to work with.
Here are some ways I have looked for curriculum:
- Google search children’s ministry curriculum
- Look on other churches websites to see what curriculum they use
- Subscribe to children’s ministry blogs about what is the new upcoming curriculum and read reviews
- Check out children’s ministry magazine for ads and then research
- Talk to other children’s ministry directors and pastors about what they like and dislike about their current curriculum
I only buy the smallest portion of curriculum. If something else is released or if the publisher changes what I am using, then I am not stuck with a whole years worth of curriculum.
Here are some of the curriculums I use:
Elevate : Love it! Can’t wait for Elevate jr.
Lifeway: for babies, moving to Radiant Baby
Hands on Bible: have to do a lot of adjusting to this curriculum
In the Beginning: changing this to Elevate jr. when it is released
