What to do the day of surgery when it isn’t until 5:00 pm?
Slept till 10:30 am with a few interruptions
Can’t leave the house due to aftershocks from the prep.
No eating or drinking….
Dream about the mac and cheese I just saw on Martha Stewart. Maybe Abbye will make me some of her famous mac and cheese while I am recovering.
Don’t have to spend much time getting ready... 
Today is Monday and I should be in the office wrapping up from yesterday, but I am prepping for removal of the “orange“. I am actually looking forward to surgery because the pain is pretty intense. I never thought I would say that I was ready for surgery. I have been trying to prevent surgery since the end of September, but now I am ready.

Bryan and I left Thursday morning to be in Durham for Nana’s surgery. She did well and was released the same day. We stayed in Durham overnight to make sure everything was ok.
Forgot my coat (it was 19 degrees Friday morning)
Went shopping to find a coat, unsucessful but bought a really cool big sweater
Ate lunch at Foster’s Market the best chicken pot pie ever and brought home coconut cake...
Being a mom to three wonderful boys, a grown son, and a wife to the most amazing husband, dinnertime is a challenge.
