Every year Oprah does a show where she talks about her Favorite Things and gives them away to the audience. Its coming up soon. I enjoy this show because there are great suggestions for the holidays. I thought I would let you know of a few of my favorite things, some old and some new.

 1. Burts Bees Lip Balm. This stuff keeps your lips from being chapped. It’s a great little gift . Stocking stuffer?

2. Red ballet flats from Target $14.99 I love these shoes and find them to be very comfortable.

3. Steve and Barry’s Bitten Line by Sarah Jessica Parker I love that I can buy a pair of jeans that fits for $14.99. I like the straight leg jeans. They look cute with my ballet flats.

4. Blockbuster online. It is so great! I pay $16 a month for 2 movies at a time. I get the most for my rentals. I get the movies in the mail and when I am done I take them to the store to trade them in for other movies. A years worth for a family member would be a great gift or even 6 months.

5. I was recently fitted for a new bra. I know this is a little private, but it is a great bra. First of all go to Dillards and get fitted. I purchased a Wacoal bra the most expensive bra I have ever purchase at $42. In the past, I have seen shows on how important it was to have a great fitting bra and thought it was for everyone else. Now I have experienced the importance of a good fit for myself. I found these bras brand new for half the price on Ebay.

6. Bedhead Headrush. I keep 2 cans of this stuff at all times. I don’t ever want to run out. It smooths down my hair and gives a little shine. I have some pretty wild hair, trust me. I have been using this stuff for about two years.

7. Mr. Clean Magic Reach Mop. If you don’t have one then you need to run, not walk to the nearest Walmart or Target to get one. This will clean your shower in a jiff. Some of you may be able to get your family to wipe down the shower or use a shower spray, but for the rest of us this works great.

8. Cinnamon Ducle Latte non fat no whip from Starbucks. This is my all time favorite drink. Starbucks came out with this concotion last February and now this is the coffee I order.  You can get yours full fat with whip if you want.

9.  Screenit.com is a great movie review website. There are no frills just text. No opinions only facts. This has been a great tool for weeding out inappropriate movies. $24.95 for a years subscription.

10. Nerf armor for DS Lite. Finally, something to protect this delicate game system from my children. It is a parents dream come true to protect the DS Lite. Now if they will come up with some way to keep up with those teeny tiny little games. Retails for $14.99

So more kids than usual knew their memory verse this week, and it was a long one.  We learned this week that selfish things are not the most important things we should go after. Instead, Jesus teaches we should seek to be selfless by serving other people.
