Little Things

When my children give me unsolicited hugs and kisses I melt all over. I love the little things in life and try and cherish every one of them.

My husband is the king of the sweet little things. For 13 years of marriage, he has called me every day on his way home. I love it. The other day he called and I needed him to stop by the store.  He has never once complained about what has been on the list even when he has searched for it with the help of clueless stockboys.

He arrived home with the items and greeted everyone. Even the dog that is not his dog that he secretly loves. I was going through the bags and I found all the items I had requested and an additional item. There was a box of baby wipes in the bag.

I asked him what the wipes were for and he replied that he noticed I was running low on the wipes I use to wipe my face. He did not want me to run out. He was right! I had not even realized there were only 3 more wipes in the wipe box.

I was so touched that he even cares about the little things.

In Faithstation, this week we learned about Miracles.  The children acted out three of Jesus’ miracles; calming the storm, raising Lazarus from the dead, and healing the blind man by spitting in some dirt. It was great to see their enthusiasm as they played their parts.

Our verse for this week is found in the book of Acts.

Acts 2:22(NLT) People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful miracles, wonders and signs through him, as you well know.
