Wonderful Words

Yesterday was a great day. It started out with a day to the doctor and good news. The cysts are shrinking. Yeah! No appointment for 2 weeks. It is such a relief.

On our way into the office,a dear friend called to tell me of the experience with her granddaughter the night before. She shared with me of the precious family time and what was expressed by this bubbly little child. My heart welled up with joy when I realized it was what she had learned in her class on Sunday morning.

When I came into the office, there was a card in my box from a family thanking me for taking leadership of the children’s ministry. I am so thankful I made the decision to accept the position.

On Sunday, I stood in the back of Faithstation and listened as Rodney asked questions of the kids about the lesson the week before. The story was about when Jesus was young and his parent couldn’t find Him and He was in the temple. The kids recall of the story was amazing. It did my heart good.

For those of you out there who have kids in Faithstation I am very close to getting the website up. Each week the memory verse will be on the website, until it is I will post it here.

I Cor. 10 :13 (NLT) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than  you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so you can endure.

Ramblings of a tired me

This week has been extremely productive, but I am very tired. I am still dealing with three cysts. I saw my doctor on Tuesday and I was convinced he would want to do surgery. He decided to give me more time and boy was I glad.

Wednesday I was at the office for 12.5 hrs and had little to no pain. I stayed for Flipside since Bryan was talking about dating. Somehow I ended up on stage and shared a little from my perspective. I worked on the Kids ROCK website most of the day, and I am so close to being done. YEAH!!

Thursday I came in dragging, but became supercharged because three volunteers were coming to help me out. Lisa Matthews, Christie Berry and Cyndi Carrillo all came to volunteer. Lisa and Christie set up all the props for Faithstation and Cyndi and I did some deep cleaning. Cyndi brought me a Starbucks and that was a great pick me up. Lisa and Christie all did some organizing as well. Kids ROCK has amazing volunteers who give of their time and resources to minister to kids every week.

Today, I met with Noah’s A.I.G teacher. She is a resource teacher he meets with for math and reading because he needs to be challenged in these areas. I love to tell about his healing and share what God has done. She was very complimentary of his attitude and behavior. He has also been nominated for a special program in Washington, DC.

I was running errands to day and finalizing everything for Gabriel’s backyard BBQ party. We of course had to rethink that plan since it rained all night and all day. Change of plans everything moved indoors. I started feeling pretty rough while running errands so I had to rely on Bryan and the boys to get everything ready for the party.

They did a great job getting everything ready, and Matthew ran the rest of our errands for us.

Carolyn was honest the other day to share how she was feeling. I am going to be honest right now.

I feel great about what God through me is accomplishing, but my body doesn’t feel so great. I have been cranky today because I am hurting and moody because of the medication. I am tired of hurting and this is one of those days where I am feeling a little down. I will be better tomorrow.
