Have you ever given up on a dream because of other people? Others may have not believed in you or maybe it is what they said. I almost gave up on my dream because of a little negative influence in my life. I have prayed about this situation, talked with my husband about it, and have done everything I have known to do.
Monday afternoon I was standing in my kitchen watching two black birds in my backyard trying to take food from one another and defending what they already had and God spoke to me. “You have dreamed of this for years and you are going to let negative influences take it away from you. This is what you have wanted. Don’t let others take your dream from you.”
I couldn’t believe it. God spoke to me through two black birds in my backyard.
DREAM ON: Steven Tyler
Everytime that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face gettin’ clearer
The past is gone
It went by like **dusk** to dawn
Isn’t that the way
Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay
I know what nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it’s everybody’s sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life is in books’ written pages
Lived and learned from fools and from sages
You know it’s true
All the things you do, come back to you
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Dream On, Dream On, Dream On,
Dream until your dream come true
Dream On, Dream On
Dream On, Dream On
Dream On, Dream On,
Dream On

Don’t ever let the dream die. It’s too big and I need you. You are amazing, did you know that?
I liked your blog- I’ve had many times where I’ve nursed a whole house full of sick people too. I have to stand over Neal when he’s feverish because he won’t drink. I let him get dehydrated once- Never Again!
But this was the one that touched me. It’s such a simple image, the two black birds. I’ve had so many dreams almost stolen…
but God is a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of destroyed cities.
I admire you very much, Jennifer- which probably explains why I am always so tongue-tied around you. Or say stupid things! Or both!
And of course, your blog would be PINK. (Mine is, unsuprisingly, black and red!)
